Visual/UX/Interaction DeSigner

I'm a designer based in San Francisco. Originally from New York City, I have been working here in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley since 1991. I am a graduate of The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). I have a BFA in Graphic Design. In addition to my formal design education I also studied some programming. I am always updating my design skill set to keep up with emerging technologies and I recently took part in a three month intensive UX Design Program.

My work covers a wide range of project types and clients. Back in the 2000s I was a partner in a small production studio focusing mainly on business presentations and interactive advertising. I have designed presentations for marketing, sales, product launch and business development. I have created education math animations. I have designed branded, casual games. I have designed, animated, resized and shipped hundreds of interactive ad units

I've worked with many different companies over the years both as a Designer and Independent Producer. As a principal in a small studio I was responsible for day to day operations, managing client relationships, working hands-on for design projects and directing small production teams. I also worked on marketing and pitching new business.

I have another hobby (and part-time career) in aviation. I am an FAA CFI. I have a Commercial Pilot's License for both single and multi-engine aircraft and a Certified Flight Instructor's License for single and multi-engine aircraft and instrument training. I have more than 3,000 flight hours and have trained a wide range of students; from teenagers to corporate executives, from college freshmen to airline pilots.

The Plane shown is an L39. I never flew anything that fast but I did fly BE58s and BE36s.
